Compulab’s MCM-iMX95 is a tiny, solderable System-on-Module built around NXP i.MX 95 SoC

24-June-2025 – Compulab introduces the MCM-iMX95 solderable System-on-Module, built around the high-performance NXP i.MX 95 System-on-Chip family.

i.MX95 features up-to 6 ARM Cortex-A55 cores, combined with ARM Mali GPU and eIQ Neutron NPU. The i.MX95 SoC is supplemented with up-to 16GB RAM and 128GB eMMC. MCM-iMX95 peripheral interfaces include USB3.0, 2 PCIe, 2 RGMII, 5 CAN-FD, 8 UARTs and up-to 75 GPIOs. Display and camera connectivity is supported with dual LVDS, MIPI-DSI and dual MIPI-CSI.

Excellent connectivity, advanced graphics processing and small size make MCM-iMX95 a versatile solution for industrial HMI, building control, image processing, IoT gateways and medical devices.

MCM-iMX95 Evaluation Kit

For evaluation and software development, MCM-iMX95 is provided with the EVAL-MCM-iMX95 evaluation kit, designed to allow easy access to all MCM-iMX95 functions.

The evaluation kit includes MCM-iMX95 SOM assembled on SB-MCMIMX95 carrier-board, optional 7″ LVDS LCD, optional LTE cellular modem, 12V PSU, cables and engineering technical support.

To facilitate streamlined and rapid product development, Compulab provides MCM-iMX95 with a comprehensive set of documentation, reference design and support services:

MCM-iMX95 Software

Compulab supports MCM-iMX95 with a full BSP and ready-to-run images for the Linux operating system. The MCM-iMX95 BSP includes Linux kernel 6.6, Yocto Project SDK and U-Boot boot-loader.

OTA updates are supported using a pre-configured Mender layer.
